Mezuzot
The Torah commands us to put mezuzot on all of the doorways of our homes (Deuteronomy 6:4). The mezuzah scroll includes the two parashiyot of Shema and vehaya im shamoa. The Shulhan Aruch writes that all who are careful in this misvah , will live a long life. The misvah is meant to be a reminder to have emunah in Hashem whenever one passes the mezuzah to enter or exit the home. we make sure to keep our standards up to the highest level while also being concious of the cost
Tefillin
The Torah commands us to wear tefillin on the arm and head every day. There are four parashiyot inside each of the tefillin; Kadesh li, vehaya ki yeviacha, shema and vehaya I'm shamoa. The tefillin remind us to have emunah in Hashem and serve as a reminder not to stray after our physical desires. The tefillin of the hand on the arm corresponding to the heart (emotion) and the tefillin of the head corresponding to the brain (logic), the two forces of the body that guide our actions. It is very important to make sure that tefillin are purchased from a trustworthy source because there are many halachot and something very small can render the tefillin pasul. Each Parashah is goes through a thorough evaluation and the batim undergo a strict inspection to ensure the utmost kashrut and quality.
Sefer Torah
The final misvah in the Torah is for every Jew to write a Torah for himself or to have one written for them for the purpose of learning from it and teaching the Torah to the future generations. The Gemara in Menahot (30a) says that he who writes a Torah it is as if he received the Torah at Har Sinai. There are many intricate details involved in writing a Torah such as the shapes of the letters, the spacing between letters , words, parashiyot and sefarim, haserot and yeterot, big and small letters and the beauty of the writing, the piety of the sofer. Here at Scribe we guide you through the process of purchasing a Sefer Torah of the highest standard fulfilling all of the requirements mandated by Halacha.
